SAGINAW -- A Covenant Healthcare Surgeon has removed a 10 pound tumor from a thirty-seven-year-old Guatemalan man’s hip.

Fernando Popking came to Saginaw from the tiny village of El Cedo to have a ten-pound malignant tumor removed from his side.

Doctors at covenant hospital got word from Synergy Medical Education Alliance during missions work that Popking had trouble walking, could not sit, and had difficulty eating and sleeping.

Dr. Anthony de Bari was able to remove the tumor, and now with the help of crutches, Popking is back home in Central America and able to live a more normal life.
