FLINT -- Update: July 18th, 12:50 a.m.

General Motors is investing $328 million into the Flint Assembly Plant to build the next generation of Chevrolet Silverado and GM Sierra pickup trucks.

This investment is expected to retain / add about 150 jobs.


Update: July 18th, 11:15 a.m.

NBC25 is at the Flint Assembly Plant, where the automaker is announcing a multimillion dollar investment. We'll have more details on this as it becomes available here and on NBC25 News at 6:00 p.m.

 


General Motors is expected to announce an investment of millions of dollars into Flint Assembly during a press conference Monday at 11 a.m.

The money will go toward construction of the next generation of full-size pickup trucks.

It is not known how much to company will invest in the plant, which makes the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

GM said earlier this month it would roll out new versions of the trucks next year.
