TEXAS -- A retired Flint Police officer has died after a motorcycle crash.
The Flint Journal reports 49-year-old Draike Sparks, who lived in Texas, was killed last week when traffic came to a hault, and he was unable to stop his motorcycle in time.
According to Spark’s Facebook page, he was a 1980 graduate of Northwestern High School, and had retired from the Flint Police force.
This death came the same day that Michigan State Police Trooper David Stokes passed away of a heart attack on I-75 near Miller Road in Flint.
Flint law enforcement officials are mourning the loss of both men.
