GENESEE TWP. -- Daisy, the dog who was found with severely beaten, once again needs a new home.
The Saving Daisy Facebook page states that Daisy has attacked her new family’s pet Chihuahua several times. Due to the severity of the last attack, the family’s vet believes the little dog might not survive.
The Facebook page says, “Daisy is great with all of our bigger dogs… and doesn’t seem to have an issue with kids.”
Daisy was found in February, tied to a street corner in Genesee Township and left to die. She had been brutally beaten.
Someone posted for help on Craigslist, and Mary Schaap responded and saved the dog. The dog then underwent surgeries at Westwood Veterinary Hospital in Flint. The total surgeries cost thousands of dollars.
Amazingly, she had a quick recovery and was soon adopted.
The story touched the hearts of NBC25 friends. We received dozens of emails, phone calls, and Facebookrequests about the dog. Now, the pet owner is asking for help once again. If someone is willing to take Daisy, and invest in and train the dog, she’s willing to give Daisy to a good home. However, she does warn that the dog does not get along with smaller pets, including cats.
