BROWNSTOWN TWP. -- A father is facing charges after allegedly allowing his 9-year-old daughter to drive their van to a store because he was too drunk to drive himself there.

WDIV-TV reports the girl was sitting on a booster seat when she pulled up to the gas station / convenience store around 3:00 a.m. on October 8th.

Surveillance video on WDIV's website shows the girl carefully driving, and then getting out of the car with her 39-year-old father, Shawn Weimer.

Someone saw the little girl and called 911.

The father now faces felony child abuse charges.

Tuesday, a Woodhaven District Court judge ordered Weimer to not have contact with his daughter.

Weimer was convicted of drunk driving in 2007.

What do you think the punishment should be for this father's alleged actions? Leave us your comments below.
