SAGINAW -- Update: October 21, 2011

Officer Ken Bluew has been bound over for trial in the murder case of Jenny Webb and her unborn son, Braxton James.

During a preliminary hearing that took place over the course of Thursday and Friday, witnesses presented evidence that they believed tied Officer Bluew to the homicide. Friday afternoon the judge determined that there was enough evidence to move the case to trial.

We will have more details on this story on NBC25 News at 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Suspended Buena Vista Township police officer Kenneth Bluew in court Thursday, for a preliminary hearing.

Bluew is accused of murdering pregnant woman Jennifer Webb.  Her body was found at a Police Gun Range in Buena Vista Township just before midnight on August 31, 2011.  Police reported that Webb had been strangled to death.  She and her unborn son, Braxton James, died.

Fellow Buena Vista officers gave damaging testimony against Bluew.

"I looked back at Bluew and noticed he was sweating heavily," said Officer Tim Patterson, who found an on-duty Bluew at the crime scene.

Officer Patterson looked through Webb's cell phone call log, and saw three calls to "Ken Cop Boo".

Webb's family later confirmed to Buena Vista Township Police that Webb was eight months pregnant, and Officer Bluew was the father.

"I actually got sick to my stomach. I asked him if he knew who Ken Bluew aws and they said 'yes he's a police officer with Buena Vista,'" said Buena Vista Police Sergeant Sean Waterman, in reference to his conversation with Webb's family.

Days later, Officer Bluew was arrested and charged with premeditated murder in the woman’s death.  He has also been charged with Felony Firearm Possession, Intentional Conduct against a Pregnant Individual Resulting in Death and Miscarriage or Stillbirth to a Fetus or Embryo.

The preliminary hearing continues Friday at the Saginaw County Courthouse.
