GENESEE COUNTY -- There's something special happening at the Kmart in Fenton. A mysterious woman is paying off people's layaway balances.
"She doesn't want to be known she wears sunglasses, " said layaway specialist Samantha Morris.
Samantha says this Secret Santa specifically asks to take care of people buying toys or kid's clothes.
"We just go through the list and she just keeps going until she runs out of money."
Samantha says she tries to look for people that are delinquent on their payments.
This woman's generous spirit seems to be growing and now other people are coming and paying off people's balances.
"I know a few people came in today (Wednesday) and paid off three people's layaways," said Samantha.
"For a state that's not doing so well there are wonderful people here and they really are guardian angels," said Kmart floor associate Celeste Sabato.
