A Burton school is rallying to help a first-grader fighting a rare form of cancer. Six-year-old Allie See was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia in December. She’s been home for chemotherapy treatments, which could last another three and a half years.
Allie's classmates at Barhitte Elementary have been encouraging her with get-well letters.
"She's been a real trooper,” said Allie’s mother Mary Frazier. “She's our rainbow princess warrior, and we're just all together, you know, Team Allie."
Allie's family is welcoming the public to attend a benefit spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 27, at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Burton.
The Machine Shop on South Dort Highway will put on a benefit concert for Allie on February 25, and G & G T-Shirts on Fenton Road is selling t-shirts.
All proceeds will go toward Allie's medical expenses.
