Gary Duby faces several felony charges of arson

BURTON -- Burton Police have arrested 30-year-old Gary Duby in connection with more than a dozen arson fires at Twin Meadows Mobile Home Park.

The fires began in September, and have put residents of the park on edge.

"There was an eyewitness to the last one that burned up down there and then I was over here, a couple gentlemen mentioned a couple guys that were setting a fire," said Twin Meadows resident Rickey Low, who believes that more than one person is responsible for the fires.

Kevin Harris' backyard borders the mobile home park. He stays up at night watching for fires.

Harris has seen nine units go up in flames.

"Pretty frustrating. You don't know whether they're going to head this way or just keep picking that out because I know there vacant homes around here too," said Harris.

Duby is being held at the Genesee County Jail.

The investigation into the fires continues.

When reached for comment Tuesday afternoon, the owner of the mobile home park said he was not ready to talk publicly, because the "wound is too fresh."
