Police say one person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a one-car accident occurred earlier this morning on southbound I-475.
The wreck occurred near Stewart Avenue at around 11:15 p.m. It is unclear what caused the crash.
According to Flint Police Operations, a vehicle flipped over and caught on fire. The driver was able to escape the vehicle.
I-475 southbound was closed at Carpenter Road while the wreck was cleared but it is now reopened.
