1,500 residents in Genesee County still without power

GENESEE COUNTY -- The intense winds have calmed but the effects are still being felt across Genesee County.

Consumers Energy is reporting that about 1,500 customers are still without power as of 5:30 a.m. this morning.

The majority of those customers are expected to be restored by today, according to spokesman Jeff Holyfield.

Of the 1,500 without power, 1,300 of them reside in Flint.

Statewide there are still 5,300 customers without power.
