WHITNEY TOWNSHIP -- The Arenac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a plane crash that injured a Saginaw pilot Sunday morning.

Michael Garner, 41, is being treated at Standish St. Mary’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, after his single-engine plane crashed in Lake Huron around 9:47 a.m., about 100 yards off shore from the Singing Bridge in Whitney Township.  Garner had departed from James Clements airport in Bay City.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
