ATLANTA -- NBC25 news has exclusively obtained this surveillance video, from the Genesee county prosecutor, the moment Abuelazam was taken into custody on the night of August 11th, 2010.
The scene is a ticket counter at Hartsfield International Airport, at 10pm, when the serial killer task force, based at the state police post in flint, gives the order to uniformed and undercover officers in the terminal to move in and make the arrest just moments before Abuelazam was scheduled to board an aircraft bound for Israel.
Friday, August 6th, is also considered a critical day in the serial killer investigation.
That was the day a task force was formed to oversee the investigation.
NBC25 has the exclusive interview with retired state police lieutenant Patrick McGreevy, who was assigned the task force from day one.
