SAGINAW -- A downtown Saginaw landmark will soon be a distant memory.
The Plaza Hotel will be demolished in July according to the Saginaw County Land Bank.
Once the rubble is cleared, the site will become a parking lot for the Dow Events Center.
Recently, MLive reported that looting has become a regular occurrence at the Plaza Hotel.
The structure has also fallen into disrepair.
