SHIAWASSEE COUNTY -- The Shiawasse County Sheriff's Department is reporting a woman died in plane crash in Antrim Township.
Authorities say the crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. in the 4000 block of East Beard Road.
The vintage plane crashed jinto a barn just after take off from a private airstrip.
Investigators say the husband and wife on the plane were from Virgina.
The woman died at the scened. Her 61-year old husband was taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing in critical condition.
An environmental company was on scene to help clean the more than 100 gallons of fuel that spilled from the plane.
The investigation has been turned over to the FAA.
