GRAND BLANC -- ***Update***
A local beauty salon cut hair for a cure Sunday. All proceeds made at BoRic's salon in Grand Blanc will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fund research efforts.
Salon manager Jenny Marston started the effort when her cousin was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
“The more we can do to help them develop research and find new methods to help combat this disease, if it's the least I can do, then that's what I'm willing to do,” Marston said.
You can also mail donations to BoRic’s at 6307 Dort Hwy, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Checks should be made out to LLS.

There's a unique fundraiser going on this Sunday in Grand Blanc. It's called "Cutting for a Cure" and it will be taking place at BoRic's on Dort Highway.
BoRic's is asking for a minimum $10 donation for a haircut with 100% of the proceeds being donated to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Around 200 goodie bags have been stuffed & prizes have been prepared. There will also be a raffle.
