It's a familiar sight for those traveling along I-96 in Lansing, dark blue cruisers being put to the test at the state police precision driving track.

However this time around its teenagers who got a chance to put the pedal to the metal when they tested police cruisers on the slick track.

The exercise is meant to sharpen teeange driving skills.

All this week dozens of Michigan teens will get the rare opportunity to sharpen their driving skills in a highly controlled environment under the watchful eye of some of the world's most experienced state police driving instructors.

Over 600 teens have already been through the course and there is already a waiting list of 150 for next year.  Check out the raw video above of one cruiser taking on the course.
