CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP (AP) -- The family of a 4-year-old Michigan boy whose burned remains were found buried at his house says it's holding a memorial service for him July 15.

Authorities found the body of Carnel Chamberlain on Thursday at the house on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian reservation, 70 miles north of Lansing. Family spokesman Kevin Chamberlain says the investigation has forced an indefinite postponement of a funeral.

The family said Tuesday that it's now planning a memorial service at the Soaring Eagle Casino.

The tribal casino is near Mount Pleasant in Isabella County's Chippewa Township. No one is charged in Carnel's death, but the man who was supposed to be watching him the day the boy disappeared is jailed on charges he assaulted the boy weeks before.
