Summer time at home with the kids can get rather boring doing the same old thing, especially on a rainy day.

The Flint Children's Museum stopped by the NBC25 studios to show us how to make homemade "quick sand" at home with the kids. It's very easy.

All you need is cornstarch and water.

Take 1/2 cup of water and pour it into a bowl. Afterward, add one cup of cornstarch. Stir! If you'd like to give it some color, add a few drops of food coloring in before adding the cornstarch.

After you mix it up, you will have quick sand! Very easy and very fun to do with kids, they will love it!
