The Tuscola County Sheriff's Department has identifited the victims in a deadly accident Thursday morning.

According to the sheriff, 23-year-old Ken Meyer of Clio was killed in the crash. Twenty-one-year-old Samantha Passmore of Mount Morris, a passenger in the car, was injured.

Deputies responded to the accident on Frankenmuth Road near Truax Road in Tuscola Township just before 4 a.m. on Thursday. Deputies say Meyer was traveling southbound on Frankenmuth Road and lost control, winding up in a ditch and rolling over several times.

Both Meyer and Passmore were ejected. Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene. Passmore was flown to Hurley and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.

An autopsy on Meyer is scheduled for today.
