'Ressa goes for the gold

Clarresa Shields wins her 2nd round womans boxing match at the Summer Olympics. She won all 4 rounds by a final score of 29-15. She easily defeated Marina Volnova of Kazakhstan.

She will fight again on Thursday at 2:35 pm for the gold medal. It can be seen on www.nbcolympics.com 

The sports community and now the world are really  taking notice of 16 year old Sheilds of Northwestern Academy High School in Flint..  A watch party was held at Blackstone's Pub in downtown Flint.
