SAGINAW -- WARNING: This video contained in this story is graphic in nature and contains profane language that has been bleeped out.

Controversial video of Saginaw police shooting and killing a homeless man has been released.

The video obtained by CNN from a bystander at the scene shows officers negotiating with Milton Hall in the parking lot of the River View Plaza on July 1, 2012. The video then shows Hall falling to the ground after officers fire off a number of rounds, killing Hall.

Citizens in Saginaw have been outraged by this incident. They have held numerous protests and vigils and maintain officers could have used non-lethal force to subdue Hall.

Six Sagainaw police officers were susupended following the incident. They have since returned to work.

Michigan State Police are investigating the shooting.
