FLINT -- Police evacuated the 600 block of South Saginaw Street just after 7p.m. Saturday after reports of a suspicious package.

Members of the Flint Bomb Squad along with local police departments safely removed a duffle bag from the area.

The area was re-opened 40 minutes later.

Officials say they followed protocol. They are not commenting on the contents of the bag at this time.
