FLINT -- Flint Community Schools will honor Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields at a community-wide celebration at Perani Arena and Event Center on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The event was originally scheduled for Sept. 8 at Houston Stadium.
The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. during the school district's annual Back to School Celebration.
Details regarding the program are still being finalized.
