FLINT -- Dozens of classic car owners came back to the Saginaw Street bricks in Flint Monday, hoping for a few seconds of viral video fame.

The cars were a backdrop in part of a Pure Michigan viral video campaign that will feature 50 Michigan cities and historic landmarks.

Young singers from the Flint Institute of Music cruised through the vehicle city singing to Carly Rae Jepson’s song “Good Time” for the video shoot.

Last week's 8th annual Back to the Bricks was the perfect place to recruit car enthusiasts and spectators who wanted to be a part of the video.

Flint's segment will only last about three seconds, but tourism officials hope they'll be enough to draw people into the city.

“What it means for us is an opportunity to showcase Genesee County, not just within the state but within the country and within the world,” said Cheryl DeFrain, director of the Flint-Genesee Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The three-and-a half minute lip dub video will be up on YouTube for everyone to enjoy, once shooting is complete.
