Kassidy Owen, 17, Great Kid of the month
Congratulations to the NBC25 Great Kid of the Month for the month of August!
Kassidy Owen, 17, is from Alma and is a junior at Shephard High School.
Kassidy takes part in a program called Peer to Peer with other students from her class. She started the program when she was eighth grade and has been involved for more than three years. The program was developed to build a relationship for a fellow classmate with Autism.
Kassidy has also offered free babysitting to a wife of a soldier who was deployed. She wanted to give her some time away to herself.
She is also efforting a care package give away to foster kids who need a little love.

As the NBC25 Great Kid of the Month, Cassidy wins two nights accomdations at Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa and three days use of Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park for up to a family of four at Boyne Mountain Resort.
