GRAND BLANC -- Grand Blanc Township police held a news conference Tuesday morning to talk about last week's bomb threat for the first day of school at Grand Blanc High School and middle schools.

Students also begin class Tuesday.

Police told NBC25 they spent the weekend sweeping the buildings which have been locked since.  Both the Grand Bland and Grand Blanc Township Police Chief said that the buildings are secure and it is safe to send your children to school.

NBC25's Bill Harris was live this morning chatting with police officials.  Watch his interview Grand Blanc Township Police Chief David Stamn above.

We are also chatting about this on Facebook.  We are asking parents if they will be hesitant to send their kids to school in the wake of these threats or if they are being blown out of proportion?
