Army Pfc. Shane Cantu's body returns home

FLINT -- A solemn group of family, Patriot Guard riders, Michigan Honor Guard and local law enforcement officers welcomed home the body of Army Pfc. Shane Cantu Thursday afternoon.

Cantu, a 2010 Corunna High School graduate, was killed Aug. 28, when insurgents attacked his base in Afghanistan.

The soldier's body arrived at Bishop International Airport in Flint.

Cantu's funeral will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 at the Corunna High School football field.  Visitation hours are from 2 - 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso.
