Michigan corn crops survive nationwide drought

The lack of rain hurt much of this years corn crop nationwide.

Some mid-western farmers report ears with no kernels on them, they just didn't pollinate.

Both field and sweet corn is growing well in Michigan.

Sweet corn is edible and makes up a small portion of what the 15,000 corn farmers grow in the state.

Field corn is primarily used for the livestock industry to feed animals and also used to make ethanol.
