SAGINAW -- In place of a rally that was supposed to bring thousands to Saginaw, a quieter event brought people together once again to fight for justice in the case of Milton Hall.

More than 100 people gathered at the Riverview Plaza Shopping Center where Milton Hall was shot and killed by police on July 1 for waving around a knife.

Local and Detroit chapters of Reverend Al Sharpton's National Action Network came together to spread a message of peace.

"I want to support the effort to bring peace to Saginaw, justice to Saginaw and find ways to do that through education and things like this" says Judy Lynch who has lived in Saginaw for more than 40 years.

"We must prevail and we must continue to fight no matter what," says Mary Washington of the NAN.

No word if the rally led by Reverend Sharpton will be re-scheduled.

No criminal charges have been filed against the police officers involved in the July 1 shooting. However, a supervisor was demoted to patrolman and two officers were disciplined.
