GENESEE COUNTY -- Hundreds came out Sunday for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan's Genesee County walk.

The event welcomes patients, families and surivivors like Robert Rariden.

Rariden received a transplant from his aunt and says events like this one raise awareness.

"Coming out to events like this they do such a good job promoting organ donation and really that's my ultimate goal. Get the word out there, to register to be an organ donor because you can save lives. To donate an organ is such a selfless act that can go such a long way and for organizations to do stuff like this, they really do a nice job," says Rariden.
