BIRCH RUN TOWNSHIP -- State police say a deer hit by a vehicle crashed through the windshield of another car in Saginaw County, killing 35-year-old Amanda Michal Gibbs of Bridgeport and leaving her husband, 34-year-old Phillip Eugene Gibbs in critical condition at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
The incident occurred late Tuesday afternoon on Dixie Highway in Birch Run Township, near Frankenmuth.
Birch Run fire officials told NBC25 a white GMC Yukon and a blue Chevy Cavalier both hit a deer on Dixie Highway north of the Meijer.
