FLINT -- Hundreds of toys were delivered to the Toys for Tots distribution center Sunday as area organizers do their part to make everyone's Christmas a merry one.
At their union meeting today, members of the UAW 598 in Flint prepared to delivery bikes, games and tons of toys.
The items are all going to Toys for Tots to then be delivered to families in need.
Members fundraise throughout the year and participate in "Bring a Toy to Work Day."
Organizers say they are donating nearly $6,000 in toys.
"The thing that i think is most exciting for me is knowing that the impact on the community. The leaders of 598 and the leadership here, you see what it can turn into when everyone's got the same focus and the same vision,” says Vice President of the UAW 598, Ryan Buchalski vp uaw 598.
Members moved the gifts down the road to the Toys for Toys collection site where more donations can be made.
