GENESEE COUNTY -- The second-annual 25 Day Food Drive benefiting Catholic Charities officially kicks off Monday and will go all the way through December 31st.

Catholic Charities runs three soup kitchens throughout the area.

Last year, NBC25 partnered with Dort Federal Credit Union and together along with the community, we collected thousands of pounds of food for the program.

Click on the video to check out how last year's collection went.

To take part in the 25 day food drive you can drop off non-parishable food items to any Dort Federal location within Genesee County.
