FLINT -- Flint's Bishop International Airport has plans to make more than ten million dollars in repairs and upgrades over the next two years.

State and federal funds will be spent on refurbishing a taxiway and hangar and replacing a fire truck.

Grant applications for grants for the funding for the projects must be submitted by this may.

"Over the next two years we proposed about 10.9 million dollars in improvements to the FAA, and right now we are just waiting to see what gets approved and what doesn't and we'll move forward from there,” said Airport employee Pat Corfman.

The projects are part of Bishop’s capital improvement plan.
