FLINT -- The Flint School District could fall under the control of a district-run by the state designed to reform failing schools under a set of bills in the Michigan legislature.

The bills would expand the state's existing education achievement authority, which currently oversees 15 public schools in Detroit.

Flint Schools Spokesman Bob Campbell says the proposal is being monitored by district administration.
