BURTON -- The Genesee County Humane Society is bringing in the holiday season with a push for adoption.

The holiday for hope adoption day is featuring twelve puppies of Christmas in honor of the twelve puppies born in the humane society just eight weeks ago.

Today, hundreds came in to enjoy lower adoption prices. Many of them leaving with a new companion.

"Our hope is to have these animals go home to their permanent homes and families for the holidays so we are hoping to bring the public in, have them look around if they are thinking about getting a pet i hope they think about the humane society,” said Humane Society Executive Director Dawn Johnson.

This afternoon only two of the twelve puppies of Christmas still needed homes and countless other dogs and cats were heading to a new home for the holidays.
