Developing Story: Stabbing investigation

BIG RAPIDS -- Police are investigating a stabbing incident that sent one woman to the hospital in Big Rapids.  The situation happened Saturday evening on the 300th block of Rust Avenue.  Police tell 7&4 News they responded to a call from a woman who said her husband stabbed her in the neck.  When police arrived on scene they found a 40 year old Big Rapids man on the front porch who they later arrested.

The woman had one to three inch stab wounds to her neck near her spine.  The suspect is being charged with assault to do gross bodily harm and sex offender violation.  The victim was taken to Mecosta County Medical Center for her injuries.
