MID-MICHIGAN -- Holiday shoppers have just a few days left if they want to mail their packges in time for Christmas.

The United States Postal Service says Monday was their busiest shipping day of the year.

USPS  expects to mail more than 650 million cards, packages and letters this holiday season.

"Well, it's so busy because people were shopping over this last weekend and probably heard over the news that they had better get everything out by today so everyone would have the merriest christmas ever," said Sally Steven's of Flint.

The Postal Service says their businest delivery day will be this Wednesday.
