Flint man killed in US-23 accident,icy roads to blame

TYRONE TOWNSHIP -- A 47-year-old Flint man was killed in an accident on US-23 in Livingston County Wednesday morning.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department Michael Herrell was traveling southbound on US-23 when he lost control of his pickup truck as he was exiting the freeway at Center Road. .

Herrell's pickup hit the back of a 53-foot semi-trailer that was parked on the shoulder.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
