Police say he switched identities with another prisoner
DETROIT -- Police are searching for an escaped prisoner from the Wayne County Jail.
The U.S. marshal's office says Rocky Marques, 34, switched identities with another prisoner and escaped on January 20th.
He was supposed to be extradited to Arizona on weapons charges.
Wayne County sheriff's spokeswoman Paula Bridges says they didn't realize Marquez was missing until January 25th.
Marquez was arrested January 15th.
Police confiscated an AK-47 assault rifle and was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The U.S. Marshell's office said that "Marquez should be considered armed and dangerous."
