Heavy snow on Friday created difficulties for local soup kitchen

SAGINAW -- Poor weather conditions slowed food shipments from the food bank to the Old Town Soup Kitchen in Saginaw.

After nearly a foot of snow fell Friday, the soup kitchen rallied their volunteers to pull together Saturday morning and serve the community.

The soup kitchen has not missed a Saturday meal since it first started more then a decade ago.

The The food arrived Saturday morning at 9:00 AM.

The old town Christian Outreach Center works to build an organization that produces healthy familes.
