LANSING -- Democrats are planning to hold town hall-style events in 9 Michigan cities over the next month.

Democratic lawmakers in the state House say they want to know what citizens are thinking and how laws passed by Republicans have affected them.

The first town hall is expected to be in Canton Township today with other stops, including Detroit, Grand Rapids and Flint.

Topics that are expected to be covered includes school funding, unemployment and school funding.
