The Burton City Council approves a tax-free zone

BURTON -- In Burton the city council approved a plan turning 160 acres into a tax free zone for businesses.

A special meeting determined an area near Davison and Genesee Roads will be eligible for tax abatement.

Flint, Flint Township, Grand Blanc and other local municipalities are all drafting similar renaissance zoning proposals.
