LANSING -- Over the Super Bowl weekend law enforcement agencies arrested 45 drunk drivers across 20 Michigan counties.

There were 65 law enforcement agencies involved in an increased crack-down of drunk drivers over that weekend.

Allegan, Berrien, Calhoun, Chippewa, Genesee, Houghton, Ingham, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kent, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Ottawa, Saginaw, St. Clair, Van Buren, Washtenaw and Wayne counties all participated.

According to The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning, who coordinated the effort, this was supported by federal safety funds.
