SAGINAW -- Some brave souls took a dip for the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Bear Plunge. The ice cold dip raises money and awareness for Special Olympics athletes across Michigan.

This polar plunge featured wacky costumes. For those who were not brave enough to jump into the cold water, they received a "too chicken to plunge" shirt.

"It’s beautiful out here, I mean it really is.  It's nice and breezy, but I mean you got a little snow fall it's great,” says Jeff Stevens.

“It's a great thing, you know, for us to give back and to do something for the community and the Special Olympics is just an awesome, awesome thing to represent, and we're proud to be here." Says Brandi Kogeler of Mount Pleasant.

This polar punge is organized by law enforcement officials.
