Walk for Warmth events raised over $60,000

FARWELL -- This past Saturday Walk for Warmth events in mid-Michigan raised over $60,000.

Mid Michigan Community Action hosted the events that took place in six counties.

There were 325 walkers in the six events that raised $28,667.

Consumers Energy alone brought out 55 walkers.

Matching funds, sponsorships and other donations brought the total to $63,329.

Donations are still being accepted for Walk for Warmth, with $100,000 being the goal.
