SAGINAW -- Police in Saginaw County are searching for suspects after responding to six shooting calls in just 36 hours. Police say they are working all angles to get to the bottom of this violent spree.

Six people are recovering from gunshot wounds after a violent two days in Saginaw County.

“It’s crazy,” says Arnesa Davis.

Four of the shootings took place in the city of Saginaw.

"I think it's kind of appalling for this size of a town,” says Ben MacArthur.

One person was shot in the chest Wednesday afternoon after a fight broke out here at Genesee Avenue and Webber Street. Three suspects are in custody. Police say the shooting is gang-related.

“Our young people need to have a little more guidance on how to handle issues and troubles and stuff,” says MacArthur.

Police say half of the shooting victims showed up to area hospitals. One shooting victim was dropped off at St. Mary's Medical Center and two other victims were dropped off at Covenant Health Care Center.

Earlier Wednesday, two people were shot in the head in a drive-by shooting on the 400 block of 30th Street.

“Nothing like that ever happens here on this street so it was kind of shocking,” says Davis.

Buena Vista police say they have a suspect in custody.

“Maybe somewhere like Chicago, that doesn't seem unusual but around here, that's a pretty drastic number,” says MacArthur.

“There's no excuse for it,” says Todd Schalk.

Buena Vista police tells NBC25, the drive-by victims are recovering from their injuries.  They are non-life threatening. As for Saginaw police, they're holding a press conference about this violent spree on Friday.
