GRAND HAVEN (AP) -- A West Michigan high school is under investigation after complaints that some students there used racial slurs and wore apparel similar to that of the Ku Klux Klan.

The Grand Haven Schools Superintendent Keith Konarska said that there have been at three incidents and that three students have been disciplined.

The details of the incidents, and the punishment for those incidents, have not yet been released.

Authorities are investigating complaints that some students attending a West Michigan high school used racial slurs and donned apparel similar to that worn by members of the Ku Klux Klan.

Konarska says the high school is increasing efforts to create awareness and understanding programs for students.
