FLINT -- This morning in Flint a man was shot while filling up his car with gas, police tell NBC 25.
It happened around midnight at the Sunoco gas station near Pasadena and Proctor.
Unconfirmed reports say three people have been arrested and are in custody.
It happened on Flint's north end.
Police say one man tried to rob the victim while two others waited in a car in the back of the gas station.
The victim was shot in the stomach.
The injured man managed to escape and call the police.
Police say the suspects took off in a Chevy Impala.
Officials tell NBC 25 that the victim is in stable condition at a area hospital.
